Judit Sánchez Velasco (b.1984) is a Barcelona-born Artist & Environmentalist whose practice spans across conceptual documentary, installation work and environmental sound while it strives to evoke reflection upon mankind’s dissociative behaviour towards the natural ecosystem in the Capitalocene.

Judit completed a Masters of Design (M.Des) in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art. She has attended Nes Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland, and Kala Khoj Artist Residency in the experimental evolving township of Auroville, India. Additionally, she has participated in the artist-led research expedition La Wayaka Current in the Indigenous Province of Guna Yala, Central America. Judit is also the founder of El Jardín Sonífero, a collective ground for exploring the realm of acoustic ecology.
