Pneuma

In the Mediterranean basin, Pneuma (Qi, Prāna, and so on, in other cultures) represents the Vital or Cosmic Energy origin of all existence. The breath of life, and the active source of our inmost energy, that holds the individual and the cosmos together.

The collection of texts “Pneuma” (2022—ongoing) is an attempt for the human embody to honour the intelligent and self-regulating force that heals all nature, humanity included. The post-master of “Collective Practices” at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, in association with Council (Paris), supported this edition for it to come to life.

In intimate alliance with plants, and existence as an intuitive practice, “Pneuma” was activated by a series of meditations guided by sound, reading, and projected visuals of free movement, introspection, and collective ritual within the framework of the collective endeavour When Things Are Alive. When Things Are Alive was presented by Hägerstensåsen Medborgarhuset and the post-master course “Collective Practices” at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, in collaboration with Council, Paris, from 6 to 9 June 2022.
